Services
Dr. Lary works as lead facilitator, designing and driving the full engagement, or as a supporting presence when another leader is at the helm, maintaining the shape and flow of the engagement, ensuring the conversation moves through its intended stages, and creating space for the group to surface what matters most.
A CEO, a foundation president, a family patriarch running their own retreat doesn't need someone to take over. They need a skilled partner — so their full attention stays on leading.
Engagement Types
Direction: For groups ready to set a course — a vision, a strategy, a long-term direction. The output is a shared direction the group can build on.
Alignment: For groups where forward movement requires everyone to be on the same page — departments, agencies, or partners with a common stake. The output is alignment and the direction that becomes possible from there.
Transition: For groups navigating a meaningful change — in leadership, structure, mission, or family. The output is clarity and direction from a new starting point.
Engagements are designed as half-day, full-day, or multi-day — scoped to the need.
Approach
Every engagement is designed for an offsite setting. Dr. Lary brings 30 years of professional experience — spanning the classroom, cross-agency initiatives, and organizational leadership — including work designing and facilitating professional development, large-scale convenings, and multi-stakeholder gatherings. That depth of experience shapes every engagement: the question architecture, the pacing, the ability to read a room and adapt in real time. It is further informed by operational leadership — managing budgets, leading teams, and navigating the complexity that leaders in the room are living every day.
Every engagement ends with a written summary delivered within 48–72 hours — decisions made, commitments, owners, and next steps.
